My name is Monique, I am the registered childminder of Cuddly Bears Childminding, I am Married with 2 children, boy 14 years and girl 16 years. At Cuddly bears we provide a safe and fun place for children to grow, be happy , confident , highly engaged and motivated learners, through the power of play. Children spend most of their young lives in formal education so why not let this time be natural , spontaneous and full of special memories. If you haven’t tried a childminder before now is the perfect time, a smaller setting that focuses on everyday fun activities using both indoors and outdoors to spark imagination , while still working on getting your Little one ready for the school life ahead; I closely Follow the EYFS requirements for child development offering a personalised support to each child in my care. I have a wide variety of toys and educational resources and I do both adult and child led activities to support learning and development, attend regular training to improve the quality of my care, most of my trainings are done through the Sandwell Early Years Team who gives me support visits and the necessary training / help I need to deliver quality care.

I am close to two parks and stay and play centres which is operated by sure start, these I use regularly for extra activities for the children, we also make planned visits to the local farms, woodlands and libraries. I also have a dedicated play room, which gives me plenty of space to do activities, and also an outdoor space.

I am within good transport links and close to local schools within the Smethwick area, my house is a no- smoking environment and along with the Ofsted inspection I also had my house checked and fire alarms set up by the local fire safety officers.

Fantastic childcare service

I have used Monique as a child care provider for the past 9 years ever since she first began her journey. It has been amazing to see, all my children have attended Cuddly bears at some point and have never forgotten Aunty Monique, my daughter still points out the house passing and remembers all the things they used to do.
This is most definitely an active child minder the children are always out on trips or just around the local community at parks and nature reserves, educational but fun. They are introduced to new and exciting things each day, they also get to explore the wonderful playroom as well as the adventurous garden with the muddy kitchen.
Parents are always kept in the loop with the daily activities and your child’s progress. If looking for a child minder who is dedicated to your children’s development and flexible and hard working then look no further cuddly bears is the one.

My son got excellent care here

My son's experience here was very good.
He still requests to go back there.....he was there 3 years ago! The only reason he stopped was that my working pattern changed.
Monique was very flexible, prepared nice meals for the kids and made sure they had lots of appropriate recreation.
She was also like a second Mum to my son so I was happy to leave him in her care.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for child care without hesitation.
