Y’s Girls Mentoring Programme

Y’s Girls Mentoring is a community led mentoring initiative facilitated by YMCA Black Country Group throughout the Black Country. The focus of the programme is for Volunteer Mentors to work with girls aged 9 – 14 years to inspire them and to support them to thrive.

Y’s Girls Mentoring provides girls in the Black Country with the opportunity to overcome some of the challenges they face. These challenges might include building emotional resilience, building better relationships, improving school attendance, better community connections and reducing exposure to crime and anti social behaviour
