Local Restrictions in Sandwell

Add to My Shortlist
stay home

Sandwell and the whole of England remains under national lockdown. Step 1 of the Government's roadmap out of lockdown has begun.

You must still stay at home as much as possible. The single most important action we can all take is to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives. If you do leave your home, remember hands, face, space and fresh air.

You are now allowed outdoor gatherings of up to 6 people or two households.

You can meet up outdoors with friends and family you do not live with, either:

  • in a group of up to 6 from any number of households (children of all ages count towards the limit of 6)
  • in a group of any size from up to two households (each household can include an existing support bubble, if eligible).

Check what you can and can't do on the Government website.

Outdoor sports facilities such as tennis and basketball courts, and open-air swimming pools, can reopen. People can take part in formally organised outdoor sports.

Many restrictions remain in place. The advice is to "stay local". People should continue to work from home where they can and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible, avoiding travel at the busiest times and routes.

Travel aboard is still not allowed, other than for a small number of permitted reasons. Holidays abroad are not allowed.
